The very best ingredients
Fokker is compiled by nutritionists and also by people from daily practice. Their goal is to create the most optimal dog food in each phase of its life. That is why Fokker foods only contain the very best ingredients. Only then can a guarantee be given that the food quality is of the highest level.
Moreover, Fokker is free of genetically manipulated ingredients and contains no artificial odorants, colourings or flavours. We count on your dog enjoying a long and healthy life and Fokker enables to lay the foundation.
Fokker products meet all the standards set by pet food institute AAFCO and FEDIAF (European Pet Food Industry Federation). Manufacturing is carried out in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice + and IFS certification.
Protein
High quality protein contributes towards having a healthy physique and strong muscles. Digestibility in the body is an important element of this. That is why high quality protein sources, such as poultry, lamb, egg and fish, are used in Fokker. These proteins contain an optimum level of protein building blocks (amino acids), which also repair and maintain bodily functions (skin, coat and blood).
Fat
Fat is the primary source of essential fatty acids and is also the principal source of energy. Fokker contains high quality animal fat, rich in linoleic acid, so that a high level of tastiness is achieved. High quality fats also provide more energy so that your dog needs less food. An optimum ratio of omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids (5:1) boosts soft skin and a glossy coat. These fatty acids also help boost your dog’s natural resistance.
Carbohydrates
Our carbohydrate source is hypo-allergenic quality grains such as corn and rice. Rice is a nutritional source of very easily digested carbohydrates. Corn, rich in calories and protein, is extremely important for a good diet because it gives energy and boosts natural resistance.
Fibres
Fokker also contains an optimum level of dietary fibres. These dietary fibres come, mainly, from beetroot. Beet pulp is a natural source of unrefined cellulose with an optimum balance of soluble and insoluble dietary fibres. They regulate the digestive process and ensure that the stomach and intestinal canal remain healthy.
Minerals and trace elements
Minerals and trace elements are essential components for the skeleton and the motor apparatus of the dog. Without the correct dosage, deficiencies will occur in the mouth, bones, ligaments and tendons. A good Ca/P balance, in particular, contributes towards strong teeth, a strong skeleton and healthy digestion.
Glucosamin and chondroitin
Glucosamine is a building block that is used for building and maintaining cartilage and synovial membrane. Chondroitin has a softening effect and helps maintain supple joints. Both substances help to enable your dog to move easily.
L-Carnitine
L-carnitine plays an important role in burning fat in the body. By binding to fatty acids, L-carnitine is transported to the part of the cell that takes care of converting fat into energy. Consequently, usable energy is provided for the muscles (with a compact muscle mass as a result) but also for organs such as the heart and liver.
Vitamins
Vitamins are the lubrication in the body’s metabolic processes. Every vitamin has its own task and that is why it is important that vitamins are taken in the correct dosage. Vitamins A, D and E, which are soluble in fat, are stored in the body if they are not required. That is why the exact dose is particularly important. The correct quantity of vitamins provides general fitness and vitality.
Inuline
Fokker contains inuline as a stimulant for the intestines. This is referred to as a fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS). The exceptional property of this ingredient is that it stimulates effective intestinal flora and helps prevent digestive problems. Inuline supports the positive lactic acid and bifida bacteria in the gut while infectious germs are kept in check.
Lecithin
Lecithin is a natural nutritional element that supports the metabolism of fat. The emulsifying effect of lecithin ensures fat is more effectively digested and, as a result, they are available for important functions within the body such as transporting essential vitamins, including A, D and E.
